Welcome to R~W Medico-Legal Services
Defendant and Claimant Part 35 Reports for UK, Wales & Northern Ireland
My professional experience and qualifications allow me to provide both Defendant and Claimant Part 35 Reports. My nursing experience started in an acute regional Vascular and Tissue Viability service. From that point I continued to nurse and manage patients at high risk of pressure damage due to Renal Disease and surgery; whether in the immediate post-operative stage or longer term management once based on the ward. My Renal and Theatre Recovery background have given me experience of acute patient management and advanced invasive line management. Further, I have additional interest in risk assessments, care planning standards, appropriate escalation of patients care and documentation standards along with my interest in Tissue Viability.
My current legal role compliments my continued nursing practice. To carry out my non-clinical duties I have to regularly assess care delivered against current policies, guide lines and evidence-based research in addition to the reasonable standards set by law. My work is generally analysing and preparing information to present at inquest, or for my day to day management of my NHS case load. My current role and case management means I have a current and practical knowledge of case law, CPR and coronial law and procedures. I have a clear understanding of the different context neglect has in civil litigation and coronial matters.
I have a lot of experience in the preparation; sorting, paginating, indexing of medical records. I can assist your case management with my court bundle service. I can provide a useful chronology, highlight missing records, recommend the type of expert(s) your case requires and supply the same. I know, from direct experience, that the quality of court bundles is extremely important and can make a big difference in many ways to each stage of civil litigation. As a result, your bundles will be set in a practical format and will be of a high quality and standard.
The quality of Medical Experts is also crucial to your case and all Experts put forward will be experienced in Medico-Legal matters and senior practitioners in their field.
Given my clinical and legal experience, I can provide quality training for your staff re-documentation, and the use of your current documentation. I can clear away the mysteries of the Coroner’s court and Clinical negligence claims. I can provide training that can prepare your staff for court procedures through role play, advice re the preparation of statement and any investigation reports and action plans that are intended to be scrutinised by the Coroner and any other independent or regulatory body.
With my experience and that of my associates we can cover a large range of clinical expertise in all spheres medical, therapy and nursing including foetal scanning and midwifery care.
I look forward to working with you.
